Pretentious Game Ideas is a monthly-ish game design podcast I host with my friends Rob Giusti and Ryan Anderson.
We started the podcast in 2016 as an excuse to engage in regular deep-dive conversations about game design among ourselves. We have also invited various guests onto the podcast over the years to ask them about their specific areas of expertise.
Through these discussions, I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about areas of game design I would otherwise have limited experience in. This has broadened my horizons as a designer and taught me many useful skills and approaches that I frequently employ in my own design work.
