Concept art and prototyping

As the school year gets back underway, I’m spending a lot of time thinking about the year-long game project that will be occupying most of my last year at UC Santa Cruz. We’re well into the concept pitching and prototyping phase already, so I thought I’d share some art that I’ve been doing for one of my ideas, an action-roguelike that I call Asterogue. As a bonus, I’ve included a photo of the physical prototype of the game, a simple turn-based battle game that uses decks of cards to procedurally generate weapons for the players.
